Sam Gosling

 

Sam is a personality/social psychologist who has studied the personality and social behaviors in several species (including hyenas, dogs, and cats!) He uses this research to to contextualize research on human personality.

 


Marc Bekoff

Marc Bekoff is the co-founder with Jane Goodall of Ethologists for Ethical Treatment of Animals. He has been a professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder. A few of his many books include the Encyclopedia of Animal Rights and Animal Welfare, The Ten Trusts (with Jane Goodall), the Encyclopedia of Animal Behavior, the Encyclopedia of Human-Animal Relationships, Animal Passions and Beastly Virtues: Reflections on Redecorating Nature, The Emotional Lives of Animals, Wild Justice, and Ignoring Nature No More: The Case for Compassionate Conservation. 


Beth Dawson

 

Beth Dawson has an extensive background in teaching and researching Integrative Biology. She holds an M.S. in Biology from San Jose University and a Ph.D in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin, and taught at both universities.

Juliana Schiesari

Schiesari is the department chair of comparative literature at UC Davis. Through the study of literature, Schiesari has explored animal-studies, species identity, and how animals influence the domestic sphere.

Temple Grandin

A doctor in animal sciences at Colorado State University, Grandin is well known for her work in livestock behavior and humane facility design. She has been named one of the top 100 influential people by Time Magazine and is an expert in working with children with autism.
